Candidates applying for consideration for this program must meet the following criteria:

• Local resident of the Chicago area or Northwest Indiana at the time of application and throughout the program
• High School graduate with a minimum 2.5 GPA (candidates with a GED will also be considered)
• Able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
• Unemployed due to a layoff, downsizing or place of employment closing (this must be verifiable information)
• Solid work history of three years of continuous employment
• Work history of good performance
• Able to provide references of former supervisors
• DEFINITE interest in healthcare – specifically nursing
• Legal US resident with a valid Social Security card
